So Chaos sent me Uriel's (and mine) xmas present early. It came in the mail yesterday! ^^ Along with boots for Kaylin (that Rin's stealing until Kaylin finds his way home), skirts for Rin, material for skirts for Rin, and... I think that's it >.> So I dressed Uriel in his new clothes (I believe he was quite happy to get out of those crap jeans and actually have a shirt for once xP) and snapped some quick photos.
( As usual, pictures suck xD )
I'll take some pics of Rin's new things at a later date. As well as the boots of ass-kicking awesome.

I ORDERED ENLAI FRIDAY! YAAAY!
My parents are gonna kill me when they find out another one is on the way (Uriel was a mistake, I swear, he doesn't count) but he's the last one until Bill hands me my shiny Christmas bonus at the party in like.. January xD And then its just Cy (hee ♥) and Yukito left (DAMN YOU FCS! >.<) before I can get Calcifer a body and start hoarding Shiwoos like they're getting discontinued xP (In all truth, I don't know what I'm doing about the Shiwoos. I know I need a tan one for Miles, and I really do want a vampire... but I'm not sure if I'll be able to stand any more... we'll see)
I also find myself falling for the Soo vampire head.. which I need to stop before it becomes any more of a problem (I would make it male, of course >.>)
Maybe I should think of what I'm doing with Calcifer (he needs a friend ;.;) before I go off on crazy imaginary dollie spending sprees?
But I'm happy, because when Enlai comes here I can pop him into his dress and he'll have four wigs (as well as his "real" hair) at his disposable as well as two other whole outfits. I'll just need to get him his eyes (I have no idea if they even sell bright turquoise eyes), eyelashes (I want him to have bottom ones as well ^^), and then after a while I might send him out to get his wings done and maybe a new faceup (we'll see how much I like the default)
...and he'll STILL be my most complete doll >.>
.........maybe I should get Rin his hair for christmas. Poor boy. I'm getting used to him not being a redhead.
Note to self: BUY EYE PUTTY! >.< Jun needs some new stuff and from Tussy's experience Enlai's isn't going to be very pleasant either.
Uriel still needs his eyes too.. Rin and Jun really need new eyelashes.. Calcifer needs... well.. everything.

homg so the other day Uriel's wig showed up and I was all asquee because my poor boy wasn't bald anymore ("my poor boy" has become Uriel's nickname simply because he has no decent clothes and, until now, no wig) but even after several thousand demands of "OMG PIX!" from my friends, I couldn't take pictures because my POS camera was dead.
Today, I went on a great search for AAA batteries... and on that search I came up on my old camera.. which, ironically, is better than my new camera except it got pushed aside because it couldn't take video.
But I'm not taking video of my dolls >.>
so after a quick hunt for AA batteries (much more readily available in my house) and a jaunt to the kitchen (where, because the crappy lighting in my room doesn't show ANY detail, I learned that the turquoise wig was, in fact, a turquoise and WHITE wig >.<) I took a few piccu of my boy ^^

Was playing around on ebay earlier today, and after double checking Uriel's wig size I decided to get him a wig, just to cover his poor bald head.
It's not the right style, but its close to the color I wanted to him, so I can get this and make sure the color looks alright on him before going through and getting a wig that's closer (and probably more expensive since its more involved)
and at least now he'll have something to cover his head. ^^;
Took a bunch of piccu of everyone last night with Cristins and Tussy, so hopefully I'll have them up in a couple days or so ^^

Finally, here it is ^^ I'm gonna work from the head down. Please note that this is being done by a person who has only owned MSD-sized dolls so far, so a lot of it may be basic knowledge for most SD & bigger owners. Also note that there are no comparisons to a Yukinojo, SD16, or SD13 body here, as I've never seen one naked in person. Thank you.
Faceup: In all truth, I really don't like his faceup. It may be because of the Junkyspot custom order, or because he's a normal skin and dollzone pictures show a white skin, but his faceup is incredibly too pink for my tastes. Its beautiful, but not for him. His eyebrows, also, are a bit too low for my taste. I think I might send his head off for a new faceup in a couple months once this one starts wearing down a bit.
Headcap: I LOVE magnet headcaps. Pop! Its off. I'm a little worried about the magnet weakening over time, but the headcap also has a loop where you can hook his s-hook into. Currently, he's strung too tight for me to even dream of getting his s-hook up to that loop, but its nice to know that there's the option. One thing that annoys me is that the headcap looks wonky, its a tiny bit too big in diameter so it overlaps his head a tiny bit. I've seen other DZ 70cms that are the same, so its not just my boy. However, this is all covered by the wig and doesn't really matter.
Head sculpt: In pictures, he looks like a generic "I hate everyone" sculpt, very thin, very elegant. In person, there's a lot more personality. His top lip has a slight raise to it that makes him look extra-scowly from the right angle. His cheeks are the slightest bit chubby, something you definitely don't see in pictures. His nose is a little beak-like. And his eyes are a bit droopy and plenty beautiful. His ears are amazing. I've seen plenty elf ears that look like human ears with points added to the tips. His actually are made like human ears elongated almost, with a point at the top. There's all the regular shapes of an ear, just worked into the pointed shape. So far I'm only able to get two emotions out of him, grumpy and sad, but we'll see how he goes. His head also looks a tiny bit too small for his body/neck, but it may just be me.
Neck/collar: I can't believe the detail that goes into his musculature. Every line is just enough accent to create realism. He even has the slightest curve where his adams apple would be. His collar bones curve into a shallow hollow, and the back of his neck goes straight down into a gentle bump of a nape.
Chest: I greatly dislike anything that has ribs visibly stickout out. To me, it makes them look emaciated. This is why I don't like Hound bodies especially. Unfortunately, Uriel also has ribs visible, but they're more to the sides and not as pronounced as Hounds. His pecs are wonderfully sculpted and (this makes me lol) he has one significantly erect nipple and one not so much xD they're even not equal in size. I'm not sure if this adds to the realism or not ^^; Underneath his pecs is the start of a gentle six pack.
Stomach: The six pack continues, not monstrously crazy but enough to make you notice it. He also probably has the ugliest belly button known to man on a doll that isn't an outie (apologies to anyone with outies, but I dun like them) But! Again, it's realistic. It's oval-ish in shape and even has a little curve on the inside.
Hips: Lawd am I a hips girl. And I must admit that Uriel does not deliver. He's got slight sculpting but nothing that screams sexy. But then again, I'm sure they probably perfer to go easy on detailing in this area. His penis, however, is thankfully not as detailed as a Hound. Its got the slight shape going on, with the hole at the end (I still don't understand this) and a raised bump underneath it to signify a ballsac, thankfully at this size he isn't like Rin (DoC Tender Yen) who has detail enough to show the seperate balls.
Upper back: His upperback is a little flat where the shoulderblades are, he has the detail but they go completely flat and even slightly inward. It just seems off to me. From his nape, however, you get a lovely indentation where his spine would run down his back.
Lower back: The only thing of note is the odd, but rather delicious curvature of his spine. It goes in really far at this point, but has a nice feel to it.
Butt: Wing does not have a sexy ass xD He's got the hollows that some skinny people have at the sides, causing an undesirable emaciated type feeling. He has lines that also arrow down toward his ass crack, something that seems odd to me. His crack is also very very deep, something that strikes me as incredibly odd, because should anything manage to get in there it would be difficult to clean.
Arms and Legs: I have never seen so much detail in musclulature as I do in his arms and legs. His sculptor had a real eye for detail when it comes to this. They're very pronounced, but not enough to scream muscle man. Very aesthetically pleasing.
Hands: DEAR LORD! His hands are huge. Like.. when you buy him clothes you're going to have to make sure they'll fit over his hands before you even worry about the rest of him. However, they're finely detailed with long, elegant fingers and nails that even overshoot his fingertips the tiniest bit. Very lovely.
Feet: He has ugly feet. Bar none. But that's okay because I have ugly feet too xD His toes are long, thin where they meet the feet, and then thick at the ends. The carving between them is way too deep. And his toes are curved so akwardly its almost unnatural. His nails are also carved very deep into his flesh. On the underside, though, things look better. The curve of his toes aren't as pronounced, the carving is gentle, and, like his fingers, the nails come out a tiny bit. His arches are amazing also, something I relish in after having flatfooted minis. And, like all dolls, his feet magically get dirty even though all he's been doing is sitting on my bed all day xD
Posing and Joints:
OMG he is so posable and double-jointing is GOD. He can touch his face and hold it! (Again, for someone with minis, this is amazing) and it only takes a couple tries for him to stay in any sort of pose. His head doesn't move too much, but I'm sure this will become easier as he loosens. I'm a little annoyed at the grooves, because they make me have to pop him in and out of poses, making it a little more involved to position him, but I do have to admit they make him hold poses better.
At the top of his lower back he has a little circular groove where a tiny metal ball on his upper back fits into, so he doesn't slip around. However, if I should somehow manage to wrench the metal ball out of its groove, it makes a horrid noise as I try to put it back in, but that's pretty much due to my ineptitude.
At the back of his upper legs he has little parts that go out to make him lock into a sitting position. But this means I have to pull out his legs and make sure they go back in right when bringing him back into standing position. This often causes his whole leg to get twisted around, even worse as his leg has a swivel point underneath the main ball joint, causing a lot more confusion should that get turned all the way around.
His knees have little grooves as well, making me have to pull and pop and be careful not to cause extra stress on the resin. Not as bad as his thighs, but still a tiny bit annoying.
One complaint, his ankles don't get a huge range of movement to his feet. I have about a three-four mm amount of empty space to move up and down, and the side to side movement is even more limited.
All in all though, with a little popping and pulling, twisting and checking, he poses like a dream. Even without sueding or wiring I can get him to stand, sit, cross his legs, cross his arms, touch his nose, or lean back and relax.
I love him dearly, he's everything I could ask for. I came into my room today and gave a little "hee" because he was sitting against my pillows, waiting for me. (I do feel a little bad that I'm ignoring my minis, but I'm having "new doll syndrome" right now, I'll get over it)
Tomorrow, he gets taken to work wrapped in a towel and put in a backpack. Pam and Nancy can oo and aa over him, I can maybe get some clothes out of Nancy for him (I am soooo bad), and I can convince Pam even further that she needs a doll xD
I wish Kristen was still working there so I could scare the living shit out of her though >.> Sure, Jun is cute, but Jun is a Ttori, no one can resist a Ttori. Uriel is definitely not a Ttori xD

I dunno... am I too dependant on these dolls already? When I got Jun I was like "who could ever replace real people relationships with such a thing?" and while I'm not at such an extreme, I definitely still prefer most people to my little resin boys...
All day today I went about my job happily, I got a little angry when the side of the building that was supposed to be clean wasn't, and I had almost double the work, but I kept smiling. I would finish up, and go home, and my baby would be waiting on my front porch, ready to be unwrapped. Bill even told me what he gave me for a raise, a full dollar, and I just said thank you and went on. No little celebration, no nothing, I wanted to go home.
I have George drive me home and my eyes search the garage since sometimes when its raining the packages will be left in there, nope. So I run up the walk and up the steps to my porch, eyes waiting to see it. Still nothing. Okay, I figure its on the other porch. I go to search for my keys and then I see the notice..
they need a fucking signature. And this time I can't even go down to the post office to rescue it because its fucking UPS. Two more times and my boy gets sent back to fucking California.. and I can't do anything because I work and fucking no one is home to sign for it at all.
I broke down crying. Like real damn hard. I don't know if its because I'm too reliant on them already or just that I was so damn excited over him being home this afternoon, but I can't stop fucking crying. I want to stay home from work so bad tomorrow, just waiting by the door, but I can't, we're shorthanded. If I stay home I screw everyone over, and that's not fair. But I want him so bad. I want him here now.
I have no idea what I'm going to do.

Personality (basics): very average. Not shy but not outgoing either. Has plenty of "friends" but no one really close. A little bookish. Doesn't like to go clubbing, arcades, etc. Prefers quiet activities, library, writing, going for walks. Likes videogames but only at home. Not fond of crowds.
In Depth: Miles has always been the "outsider" sitting at the back of the class, getting good grades while his parents pushed for better. After his well-meaning parents forced him into therapy for never having friends, he's learned how to smile and play nice, gaining more than a few classmates' respect and "friendship." Seeing how this pleased his parents he brought his acting up, not wanting to deal with a weekly trip to a woman who told him to "just talk" everytime he sat down on that damned uncomfortable couch. He brought his grades up from B-/C+ to A-/A, started going on dates with "nice girls" his mother approved of. Joined the basketball team, and got along with the boys, all while putting on a smile long practiced in the mirror. At night, always refusing to be out late in favor of "school work" Miles would stay locked in his room, reading fantasy novels furiously, playing RPGs, even writing his own tales, desperate for an escape.
Now, he's made it to university on an almost full scholarship, aiming for an english degree to please his parents, and quitting basketball to "focus more on his studies." But the act still hasn't ended, new friends are just like the old ones, people to say "hi" to and not much more. Now that he's living away from home he doesn't bother with the "nice girls," only has to make one up when his mother calls to check up on him, an easy task.
When he's not in class or doing schoolwork, Miles can either be found in his dormroom, the library, or sometimes, very late at night, on the basketball court, playing by himself while listening to music on his headphones. He's very close to finishing his first novel, something he's very proud of but extremely shy and nervous about sending it off to a publisher to see if he has a chance.
Its not clear how Miles will act should anyone get close enought to break his barrier of fake smiles and practiced laughter, but when he's writing, reading, or just off in his own workd, a glimmer of the little boy he used to be, playing "knights and dragons" in his backyard, shines through his eyes.

So last night started my 24hour doll day xD (quite unofficial really, as I just decided to call it that now >.>) I had nothing to do so I was like "Alright, I'll get off me lazy arse and wash the boys"
and thus begins our adventure!

Extra rambling:
Testors feels reeeeeaaaaaally weird on your skin when you've got about ten coats going >.> xD also: testors does not taste good. (and no, I didn't spray it in my mouth >.< I went to bite a nail after WASHING MY HANDS like five times and it still tasted like testors smells)
Calcifer has a bit of bubbling around his ears.. I tried getting rid of it but after fighting for a while I gave up. Until the day I can bathe him in rubbing alcohol they'll have to stay there. Also: I went to gloss Calci's lips with nailpolish like I've seen some people do, yah? So I put it on and the damn stuff starts EATING THROUGH THE PAINT! I kinda stared in shock for a minute, because I had a really awesome paint job going, and then ran to the sink and proceeded to rinse his lips for like.. forever. I'd rather have a doll without painted lips than a doll without lips.
But I redid the paint as best I could (sadly, this was a case where the second time was not better) but it looks good enough ^^ and no gloss >.> fucking nail polish.
Soon I will be off to try and make Uriel some clothes so he's not NEKKID
EDIT: URIEL IS IN TEXAS! xDD (from CA) And yes, I am tracking him like a fiend. I want him here tomorrow >.> but its not gonna happen.

I'm all excited ^^ He's so beautiful. I even like the new eyebrows. Not love, but like is enough ^^ and if I get fed up? It's OFF TO OTHER PEOPLE TO MAKE HIM PRETTIFUL! xD (and no, not MorbidDollz xD That's for Kaylin) I was thinking x_Kazakai_x because his faceups are cheap and niiiiice. But that's not for a while, I have to enjoy my Uriel first.
But does he have eyelashes? It doesn't look like it >.> *sigh*
So! I brought Jun to work with me last night. Nancy, as usual, was alllll over him. But Pam, who I work with now on Sundays, LOVED him. Like, at first she was just "oh, cool" and then as we got more and more into how customizable he is and how you can make them YOUR doll, she started getting really interested. Needless to say, she went home with addresses to DoA, Luts, DoD, Dollmore, and anything else I could remember at the time xD I'll be laughing my ass off if she actually gets one. ^^ (and yes, she knows all about the cost. I told her what Jun was and how much he is wearing xD)
Jun even had to get all undressed so I could show off how detailed his body is and how the joints are. And yes, they were amused by the little penor.
I gave Nancy some pictures of outfits last night too and she can't decide between the Alice in Wonderland set and the Little Red Riding Hood set. But it doesn't matter because I don't have the money to go half&half right now anyway (I might push for the Alice set because though Red is cute, we do want those Alice-themed Nepenthe costumes one day ^^;)
Nancy also keeps insisting that Uriel will be able to fit toddler clothes. I keep telling her that he isn't a baby-doll, he's pretty much proportional to an adult man, so he's skinny but she won't here it. Unless babies are experiencing bulimia or anorexia lately I don't think I'm going to find any toddler clothes that'll fit a 70cm bjd >.>
Tonight I'm giving everyone a bath! I'm wiping Rin's tattoo and Calcifer's faceup and trying again on both tuesday (if it's nice out) Jun's face is also getting a washing because he is FILTHY! Being carted to and from work'll do that to ya (Rin only went once so he's not as gross) Plus, though I love Nancy, her hands are disgusting and she was all grabbing up Jun and everything so ya, he needs a bath.
Tuesday, if its nice out, I'm re-doing Rin's tattoo (most likely closer to his crotch this time too), and Calci's faceup. Then I'm gonna try and sew some basic clothes for Uriel so I don't have a tall, lanky, pale, naked man running sitting around my bedroom xD
I'm sooooo excited ^^

I kinda cheated, so he'll be here by thursday at the latest *dances* I know I really wasn't supposed to order him, but I'm so scared he'll be discontinued or even his body changed (sorry, I like the current bodies, they're perfect) so I figured I'd snatch him up before I couldn't anymore. I'll have money for Enlai in another couple weeks and I'll just have to make Wing's clothes for now (I did order a wig for him, just to make sure he's not bald) It will be an adventure sewing for such a large doll (going from minis to hound-size in one leap? O_O) But I am excited for his arrival ^^
The site said that they had requested that his eyebrows in his faceup to be "less harsh" but they didn't have pictures up yet... I'm hoping he looks okay. But if he doesn't, I can deal until I send his head off to someone else to do his faceup (I'll only practice on Calcifer ^^;)
